The 1955 Pan American Games, officially known as the II Pan American Games, were a continental multi-sport event held in Mexico City, Mexico, from March 12 to March 26, 1955.[1] At the Games, 2,583 athletes selected from 21 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participated in events in 17 sports.[1] Seventeen nations earned medals during the competition, and twelve won at least one gold medal.
